Our Services:

How do I know if I should seek therapy?
Life doesn't always go the way we want.  Sometimes things get difficult for us personally, or our relationships go through hard times.  It isn't always easy to ask for help, but if things are not getting better on their own, you can benefit from talking to a qualified professional.  Individual counseling and psychotherapy can help you with depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship troubles, anger management, divorce adjustment, alcohol problems, grief, trauma, and unresolved childhood issues.  Marriage counseling and couples therapy  can help you improve communication, resolve conflicts, deepen your connection with your partner, heal from infidelity and affairs, end feelings of loneliness, and create a more secure and loving emotional bond.  Therapy can give you the tools to feel better, improve your relationships and live a happier and more fulfilling life.

How do I find the right therapist?
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision.  Your therapist should be highly trained and experienced, with expertise in your presenting issues, and should be a licensed professional.  The right therapist will put you at ease, help you to feel safe and understood, and treat you and your concerns with respect and acceptance.

As a licensed psychologist I've been helping people for over 30 years to cope with life's challenges and lead happier, more satisfying lives.  I work extensively in individual counseling, psychotherapy, marriage counseling and couples therapy and have devoted many years to advanced, intensive, post-graduate training and certification by some of the leading organizations in the field.  I am accredited by the American Psychological Association, the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).  My mission is to provide you with the most effective, highest quality, personalized care in a warm, caring and compassionate manner.  I am committed to helping you realize your goals.   (Read more about Dr. Zwerdling.)
